Is this a popularity contest?

A few people have asked this question for the simple reason that we allow the public to vote. It is thought that a person could get their whole family and friends to rate their entry highly and they would then win easily. It is something that we have witnessed before at design100 and have penalised the project.

Our weighting toward Judges in the overall rating should ensure that any anomaly would be flattened out and brought back in line with where the entry should be. We’re fairly confident that our systems can pick up most of these anomalies.
